“Still in Rage”
This piece represents the juxtaposition of being fulfilled in one’s blackness while also being enraged by the injustices perpetrated upon black people. For me, black (the color) is universal and calming. The rage is demonstrated by the white and red paint splatter. White rage and the rage that arises when black blood has been spilled is represented in the white and red paint splatter.
